Map to start point:
This is a very relaxed, no pressure fun walk that allows you to explore the idea of drawing in the landscape – whether that’s a leaf or the expansive lines of the surrounding hills.
The walk starts through Rackleaze Wildlife area taking us quickly into open fields and across local ancient footpaths towards Ashmead giving us long views over the River Severn, The Malverns and May Hill.
Beginners and experts alike are welcome, just bring a pencil and some paper – and a camera if you wish.
While the emphasis for the walk is on drawing and we will stop for 2-3 short drawing breaks, this year we hope to be joined by an expert photographer who will be happy to help those who wish to develop their skills taking photos of the landscape as we go – even if just on your phone.
Bring pencil and/or pen and paper.
No costs but walker needs to bring pencil and paper pad (or ipad). I usually have some extras with me just in case.
There are places remaining on this walk. To join this free walk click below. You will then be able to enter the number of places you would like (up to a max of 6).
Our goal is to provide a free walking festival for the local community and visitors to our beautiful countryside. We also work on projects throughout the year to improve access to walking activities.
Only if you are able, please consider making a donation online to allow this to continue in 2025.
Please note everyone is invited to book, attend and enjoy the festival regardless.
