Details of the walk:

Join Helen and Vicky for a tour of the old woollen mills of Uley, followed by an opportunity to learn about spinning and practice with a drop spindle in the village hall afterwards.

You’ll learn the history of weaving in the area, and how to use the looms to weave your own cloth!

This event is designed for accompanied children 7-11. You may bring all your children, but please book just one place to cover everyone. We’ll contact you after booking to check how many children will be with you. This will allow us to plan the right amount of equipment.

Please note: You are responsible for the safety of your child on the walk. We will give a briefing before the walk starts, with any special information you need to be aware of.

We are not able to accept bookings for unaccompanied children.

Please note the following information for this walk:
  • This a family friendly walk. Accompanied children are welcome

Our goal is to provide a free walking festival for the local community and visitors to our beautiful countryside. We also work on projects throughout the year to improve access to walking activities.

Only if you are able, please consider making a donation online to allow this to continue in 2025.

Please note everyone is invited to book, attend and enjoy the festival regardless.
