Details of the walk:

The Lantern Way is a fabulous circular route through Dursley, Cam, Coaley and Uley. Today we will be following the anti-clockwise route.

We’ll head out through Dursley Woods, up to Ashen Plains, and stop for morning coffee in a Sculpture Trail in the woods. We then make our way through the beautiful Uley Valley, and up to the Bury for lunch. We then head down towards Coaley and on through the glorious Cam meadows across to St George’s church. Finally we make our way back to Dursley tracing the bottom of Stinchcombe Hill.

There are four steep ascents

There is additional parking today for this walk in the nearby Community Centre car park.

Special areas of interest:
The Dursley Walking Festival always ends with tea and cakes in the Methodist church hall from 3 pm.

Our goal is to provide a free walking festival for the local community and visitors to our beautiful countryside. We also work on projects throughout the year to improve access to walking activities.

Only if you are able, please consider making a donation online to allow this to continue in 2025.

Please note everyone is invited to book, attend and enjoy the festival regardless.

    SUGGESTED DONATION:
    £5 PER WALKER
