Details of the walk:

We will go uphill from The Fortress through Hermitage Wood and by road to Twinberrow Sculpture Trail where we take the Lantern Way downhill towards Uley. This section is mainly through woods with good views. At Sheephouse Farm we will cross the Uley road and return to Dursley via Mill Farm and Ferney alongside the River Ewelme.

Special areas of interest:
Dursley Sculpture Trail has recently been refurbished after storms. Its setting, in woodland managed by Dursley Town Council for the Twinberrow Trust, is the perfect place to pause for refreshments.
Please note the following information for this walk:
  • Please bring drinks and refreshments
  • This a family friendly walk. Accompanied children are welcome

Our goal is to provide a free walking festival for the local community and visitors to our beautiful countryside. We also work on projects throughout the year to improve access to walking activities.

Only if you are able, please consider making a donation online to allow this to continue in 2025.

Please note everyone is invited to book, attend and enjoy the festival regardless.
