Details of the walk:

We will meet at 8.30am at The May Lane Bus Station and take the No.60 bus at 8.38am. After our ride to Wotton we will walk from the town around to Wortley and along the Cotswold Way climbing up to Newark Park. After our stay in the Park we will set off for a hilly walk through Combe, Waterley Bottom, then Ashen Plains and Hermitage Woods back to Dursley.

There is additional parking today for this walk in the nearby Community Centre car park.

Special areas of interest:
We will arrive at Newark Park in time for coffee. We will then have a guided tour around the outside of the house and through the garden lasting more than an hour, after which we will have lunch. Food and drinks are available at the kiosk in the garden, but you can bring your own lunch, and do at least bring some drink for the walk back to Dursley.
Additional items you need to bring on this walk:
Bus pass or fare, and NT Membership Card if applicable. Please bring a face covering to wear on the bus.
Additional costs required:
The bus will cost £3.60 or free to those with a bus pass. Entry fee to Newark Park is £9.50 (or £9 if there are at least 14 of us), or free to National Trust members.
